Results across different contexts. The methodology stays the same: see what's happening, build what's needed, measure what matters.
Content Strategy & Growth
Books Brothers is a YouTube channel and podcast featuring hour-long deep dives into dense academic books covering psychology, history, philosophy, and political theory. This is not content that goes viral by accident.
I developed and executed a comprehensive growth strategy across YouTube, Reddit, X/Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok. The approach centered on building analytics infrastructure first, then using data to drive every decision: which content to promote, where to spend ad budget, when to scale and when to pause.
Key innovations included a "chaos-first" storytelling approach leading with provocative historical hooks, transcript-driven content creation that maximized derivative value from each episode, and conditional decision frameworks for campaign optimization that removed guesswork from budget allocation.
The channel achieved its 12-month growth target in 90 days.
Results achieved through two Google Ads Demand Gen campaigns, cross-platform content strategy, and comprehensive analytics infrastructure built from scratch.
Operations & Leadership
One Acre Fund is a premier social enterprise serving 5 million farmers across nine African countries. Over seven years, I held progressively senior roles spanning people operations, field operations, and global staff welfare.
As Field Operations Lead, I managed a $1.5M operational portfolio and grew the program from 15,000 to 62,000 farmers with a 235-person team. The team exceeded enrollment targets by 9% and achieved a record 98.5% repayment rate. During COVID-19, I built crisis communication structures including biweekly radio and podcast programs when standard communication channels couldn't reach rural field operations.
As Global Staff Welfare Lead, I directed Duty of Care protocols across all 9 countries, managing 80 operations professionals and maintaining 100% operational continuity in high-risk regions including DRC and Ethiopia. I authored and launched "A Safe Space for All," the organization's primary anti-sexual harassment initiative, facilitating training in 4 languages for 2,000 staff.
As People Lead, I managed a $450K budget across HR, corporate operations, training, and recruitment. I led an organizational right-sizing affecting 80+ positions while maintaining operational effectiveness, and reconciled $15,000 in missing pension payments.
Progressive leadership across three roles (2017-2024) in Zomba, Malawi.
A repayment game in action. The exercise builds group accountability by making visible what it means to leave no member behind. My team recorded a 98.5% repayment rate during this season.
Story Production
As Executive Producer for Sidelight Studio, I manage the complete production lifecycle for corporate, healthcare, advertising, and branded content clients in the Detroit area.
Current and recent work includes graduate medical education recruitment videos for Henry Ford Health (navigating HIPAA compliance and active clinical environments), commercial production for Jekyll + Hyde Labs, product launch campaigns for Dwyer Marble & Stone, and educational content for automotive engineering programs.
My role spans client consultation, creative development, interview direction, production coordination, and delivery oversight. I specialize in complex institutional environments where the story is worth telling but the logistics of capturing it require careful planning and sensitivity.

Infrastructure & Community
In 2020, I co-founded Plateau East, an 8-acre off-grid residential project in Zomba, Malawi. What started as a permaculture farm has grown into a small village with two furnished houses, a yoga and meditation studio, solar power infrastructure, Starlink connectivity, and a team of six full-time staff.
This project represents the fullest expression of the way I work: see what a place needs, build the infrastructure to support it, and create something that serves people honestly. Every system at Plateau East was designed and built from scratch, from the composting toilets to the reforestation program.
Plateau East is open for long-term and short-term stays.
I take on a limited number of engagements at a time so I can give each one the attention it deserves.
